To Parents:
RE: CEDAR GIRLS’ SECONDARY SCHOOL BUS TRANSPORTATION COVID-19 MEASURES
In view of the recent positive Covid-19 case found in a school bus setting, we understand that some parents are concerned about the safety of their children taking the school bus transportation.
Due to the limited seating capacity in our school buses, enforcing the recommended one-metre social distancing guideline is not necessarily practical. However, the safety of your child is important to us and remains our number one priority.
These are the measures we will be taking to reduce the risk of any transmission happening, and to provide you with an ease of mind.
(1) We will ensure that our school buses are disinfected before and after every trip.
(2) Our drivers are taking their temperatures twice daily. They will not be allowed to operate the school buses if they are feeling unwell, and alternative arrangements will be taken to ensure school bus services continue.
(3) We have provided the school with all the names and classes of the students, as well as drivers on each school bus. This is to speed up any contact tracing should it be required.
We would seek your understanding to assist us on the following:
(1) Check your child’s temperature daily and prevent her from taking the school bus if she is not feeling well.
(2) Remind your child to refrain from talking to the other students even if they are seated side by side.
(3) Remind your child to keep their face mask on during the entire bus journey to school.
Covid-19 has impacted all businesses over the past year and we thank you for your continuous support. Let us all work together to ensure a safe environment for your child’s travelling journey with us. Thank you.
